If you're a frequent traveler like me, you know the importance of bringing along all the essentials to stay healthy and prepare for unexpected medical needs like headaches or indigestion on the road. One of those must-haves, particularly for those of us who take regular medications or supplements, is a reliable, compact pill organizer.

Despite its relatively small size, this pill organizer keeps everything neatly organized that I might need on the road. It comes with compartments of varying sizes, allowing me to carry a little bit of everything I might need for five or six days. This includes my daily prescriptions, anti-inflammatories, Tums, and melatonin. The individual compartments close and then there is a large clamp that closes on the outside to ensure there are never any pill spills! What a mess that would be.

I use its design as well to help with my daily routine. When I arrive at a new hotel, I set my pill organizer on the bathroom counter before going to bed and open it. In the morning I take my pills and close it. Sounds simple, right? Yet, when you find yourself awake at an absurd hour, say 3:00 AM, remembering what you did a few minutes ago can be a Herculean task. The open-and-close system acts as a visual reminder and prevents me from accidentally double-dosing.

I also put a desiccant pack in which you can take out of any other pill bottle which I think helps to keep any potential moisture it would store in there.

Having the Pill Organizer as part of my travel kit has not only decluttered my luggage but also added a touch of elegance to my routine. It's a far cry from traveling with multiple pill and supplement bottles or, even worse, one giant bottle of mixed pills that requires you to play a guessing game each time you need something.

Both the organizer and pills it carries have stood the test of time. This one has been on the road with me for roughly 3.5 years.
